I'm confused. Windows 7 does not have a path, C:\Documents and Settings. That is from XP and before.
But on my Win 7, Contacts is in C:\Users\{UserName}\Contacts
Have you tried there?

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Suddenly (within the last 2 weeks) my wife's contacts have disappeared from Windows Live Mail. When I look in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Contacts, I see a desktop.ini and a <user>.contact file (44KB size). Also, in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\Default there are folders named 15.4, 15.5, DBStore, and W4CR1. Each of the folders contains a DBStore folder which, in turn contains a contacts.edb file with a length of 2,064KB. Can you tell me which of these files is the actual contacts db file used by Windows Live Mail? Any idea how I can recover her contacts?
Thank you in advance for your response.
