1. Are you sure you read it correctly? The letter l (that's a lowercase L, not an uppercase i) is easily confused with the digit 1, and so are the letter O and the digit 0 and the letter g and the digit 9.
2. If you can't get it working, find the manual and in the manual find the reset button. This will reset it to factory conditions with the default password. Then use that to enter the router management screen and change the password. Be sure to use WPA2 encoding. And be sure to change the password in all your wireless devices.
