What do you mean with 'blocked'?

And a note:
USB-sticks, like external hard disks (and floppy disks 20 years ago) aren't the right medium to STORE files, at least not the only copy. They are nice as a backup medium (but not the only one, preferably) and they are excellent to transport data between computers that aren't in a network.
If you use these media what they are meant for you can throw them away if they fail without losing anything. Makes sense, doesn't it. But some people don't and they pay a lot of money for professional data recovery services. Let's hope you don't need those.

"blocked" like not possible to enter a password anymore
Jul 7, 2011 3:32PM PDT

First, thank you for your quick answer! Well, i use this usb like a permanent storage for my fotos, then not remenbering exactly my security password i try to enter it anyway, 3 times... and now the only way, the usb message says, is to "eliminate" or delete all inside data to recover the usb. Indeed i don't want to recover the storage capacity but first my storage itself.

I see.

Then it's really time for professional help.

You can't complain the security software doesn't work. Suppose you lost that stick and somebody else found it they won't have been able to see your pictures. That's why you used it.

Storing things encrypted and password protected is a very good reason to have a backup stored elsewhere without encryption and without passwords.

Some googling suggests that it can be caused by a setting or a program in the PC or by a failure of the stick. So the question is: is it locked everywhere (then it's the stick) or only on one or a few PC's (than it's something on that PC's). Makes a lot of difference.
