If recovery is a must we yank the power cord and then pull all the media and drives to another PC to try file recovery software such as RECUVA on the other PC.
At no time do we boot up that PC that might have the files or continue use of that PC or any of the involved MEDIA.

Hi,
I cut and paste files from my camera sing a flash drive to my hard drive. After words, I accidentally hit edit undo. (ctrl+z) at that point, all of the copied files disappeared, but did not reappear on the flash drive.
Hitting "redo" did not recreate the files. As far as I can tell, there isn't a trash bin to search for in Windows 8. Anyone have any possible solutions? They were video files of an event we'd prefer not to lose.
Thanks all
