is there any email client like the Outlook Express in XP for use in Vista for Hotmail emails?

Which hotmail?
Sep 2, 2007 12:15AM PDT

Microsoft acquire hotmail years ago and it's been a bumpy road as people try it out. There was not a direct connection to most email clients at first and as you change clients you have to sort out the connection.

Today it's Hotmail Live or simply Live so MS seems to be pushing to get everyone one to the Live mail product.

This is no bug. It's how they are moving to Live.

Windows Live Mail supports that...
Sep 2, 2007 1:30AM PDT
Windows Live Mail (beta) is seen as an eventual replacement to Windows Mail as well as Outlook, and takes on the name of the overhauled Hotmail webmail accounts. It has native support for HTTP e-mail accounts so you should have no problem connecting.

Hope this helps,
John

No "sent" emails
Sep 18, 2007 2:00AM PDT

Yes, Windows Live Mail support HOTMAILS. But in reality, it does not support it 100% because some "sent" email from the www.hotmail.com account could not be seen in Windows Live Mail.

Is there any magic to download the "sent" emails to Windows Live Mail?

Sent Emails...

When I set it up on my account, after I did a Send/Receive, it automatically pulled all of my folders and emails, including Sent Items.

emails pulled

Yes, when set up, a click on 'send/receive' will pull all the emails including those of 'sent'. But those sent after set up and not from Windows Live Mail could not be downloaded to the sent folder.

Okay, I get what you're saying. I hadn't really tried that, I don't know that there's a way to do that or not. I've just been using the client since I got it set up.
