How to question in firefox

by shylaugh / July 3, 2006 5:08 AM PDT

New to firefox and wonder how to get the bookmarks sorted A-Z. In the bookmark manager it is done but not in the bookmarks drop down. Thank you for any help.

It shows in the bookmark manager

that it is sorted and it is but when I go out of it and look at the bookmarks it isn't sorted like it was in the bookmark manager. I am a little confused on this as I must have missed doing something. The bookmark manager is sorted all the way through but the bookmarks are not all the way through when I open the bookmarks. Hope I am making myself clean as it seems I am rambling. Forgive me for that.

Aha. Duplicated it.

You need to set the View in Bookmarks Manager to Unsorted. Then sort by right clicking, sort by...

The View does not sort the bookmarks. Only affects the view.

Click on Bookmarks to expand it, then right-click anywhere on the drop-down menu and select Sort By Name.

Hope this helps,
