Just lucky.

The office has this very clean unboxed Windows 8 laptop. Let me try it.

I went looking for a PDF first. Found one and did a right click, open from Windows 8's File Explorer. Windows 8 "Reader" app launched.

Then I found the Charms menu and there is no print option!!

Well, I don't have the printer driver installed so wait while I fix that.

"By default Windows 8 does not have the ability to print PDF from Windows 8 Reader."

After all this it appears they left out printing from Windows 8's native PDF Reader.

So there you go. That is, you'll have to install Foxit or Adobe Reader to print.

CTRL-P works fine for me.

Try CTRL-P. That works for me on my Windows 8 PC like it does on all previous versions of Windows.

This worked after I let Adobe Reader update.

PS. Odd. Why isn't print in the charms or other menu?

And I'm running away from Adobe too.

How did Adobe Reader X get on this new laptop is a bit of a mystery. I didn't do it.
