I read http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-920M.138763.0.html and see mostly RED marks on all games. This means that even at the lowest settings games stutter.
As to them starting out OK, well that's debateable to some but looking at the specs, it is expected to not game well.
Normally I would note laptop cooling pad use, canned air monthly cleanings but this machine is so low on the gaming totem pole that I think you are stuck.
Hello,
I had recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop and here are its specifications:
Processor : Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2 GHz
Graphics adapter : NVIDIA GeForce 920M - 4096 MB, Core: 954 MHz, Memory: 900 MHz, DDR3, ForceWare 353.30 (10.18.13.5330), Optimus
Memory : 8192 MB
, DDR3-1600, dual-channel, two memory banks (filled)
Display : 15.6 inch 16:9, 1920x1080 pixel, LG Philips 156WF6, IPS, glossy: no
Mainboard : Intel Broadwell-U PCH-LP (Premium)
Storage : Toshiba MQ01ABD100, 1000 GB
, 5400 rpm, 900 GB free
I have tried out all types of games like GTA 5, WWE 2k15, Arkham city, Sniper Elite 3 , Fifa 15, etc. In all the games, whether i play with med-high setting or very low setting, it plays butter smooth for maybe a minute ,before the game starts stuttering so much it becomes unplayable. Then, it becomes smooth again ,and then stutters again and it goes on like this forever. Why is this happening? My laptop can handle such games very well with tweaked settings, but i dont understand why it stutters from time to time interrupting smooth gameplay. Please do help me out here.
thanks in advance.
