I have used this on internal drives but never tried it on an externial drive. John
I'm running XP on a Compaq Presario 6027 with an 80GB HD. I also have an external Mextor 120 GB HD that I use for "One Touch Backup" (Retrospect) .
I'd like to partition the external HD into 2 drives (i.e. 60GB each), one for backup and the other for MP3, jpg files.
The directions within Disk Management says to right click on the unallocated space, which in my case is only 2GB's, the balance (111 GB) is allocated space.
How do I partition the extermal drive into two 60GB drives?
