I have sent out an email message with an .eml extension
and received two replies that it can't be opened.
Both are from friends who have iPads.
How can they open messages with an .eml extension?
All other recipients had no problem opening this email.

Hi, Bob
it was a message I received in that format and forwarded to friends as it was.
I had no idea that I can change my email settings to avoid this.
How would I do that?
Thank you for the link - I will send it to my daughter who will know what to do with it;
my other friend will be lost (too confusing for us old folks. ![]()
1. Don't forward files like that. Open then and paste the content inside your email.
2. There are discussions about the setting that causes Outlook to send the email PLUS a .EML file. Confuses the receiver a lot!

Bob,
this was a geography quiz of aerial photographs -
for some reason I didn't think I could copy and paste this
<div>I followed your suggestion and, of course, it worked like a charm!
I'm using Windows Live Mail.
Thanks for solving another problem for me!
