I think I am probably slow to understand what you are saying
The file does not open with windows media player though

Note that version 9? It's the latest.

Sorry, Version 10 is out and installable from Windows updates.
this did not help much
thanks though
Again: The file was sent as an email attachment from my university professor. Its difficult to get him now and i'm in a hurry. Thats why I want to get the file open
I read in an article just now while searchin the web, that this is an indication of a damaged email attachment.
I also read one that said to use binhex to convert the file but it does not work
Any suggestions
Thanks
then what, if anything, did your professor say in the email about the attachment?
It may be time to talk to him. If it is damaged, there isn't much we can do.
My question is how to open read the file and how to onvert with BinHex 4.0
You need to install a program called Working Model View. .wm3 is the file extension for Working Model 3D
