Question

How to merge partitions? Potentially complicated

Sep 15, 2018 12:56PM PDT

Windows 7
i7 930 @2.80GHz
12GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
Corsair 850w PSU

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I got this gaming PC a while ago which came with a brand new 60GB SSD - a small gift from the seller. As you would expect, this SSD's puny size became an issue and recently I went about sorting it out.

I used EaseUS Todo backup to copy the OS + whatever else, onto my new 240GB SSD which went smoothly. However, it created a partition around 60GB in size onto the new SSD which is a bit annoying (kind of defeats the purpose of having a larger SSD to house my Operating System). I have tried using EaseUS partition master but it gave an error 'System partition or Boot partition can only be set as destination'. I would have used Window's built in tool but from my understanding I would have to clean out the larger partition of the SSD which seems to have had large components of my HDD copied onto it as well.. I was worried that disastrous things would follow.

If you look at the screenshot it appears the SSD (FHappy to be full up of other files in a separate partition when I only wanted it to hold the OS. Any tips? Thank you in advance.
