How to manage external hard drive

by 1Chris / May 17, 2010 12:44 PM PDT

I got a 320 Gb Western Digital My Passport Elite, using with a6120n HP desktop with Windows Vista.
The software installation was somewhat of a mystery. When I got to the EULA, the mispellings and disclaimers that they're not responsible for any virusus (sic), infections etc. that may already be on there raised some flags.
There is no clue anywhere how to use this. It seems to have backed up about 38 GB, categorized and labeled them with no prompting from me at all. The WD Smartware drive icon in My Computer indicates that there are 0 bytes free of 644 MB.
I can't seem to see what is exactly on the external drive...I can't view what files are on there.
This is REALLY freaking me out. Can anyone help me out here.

Use as regular drive
by 1Chris / May 19, 2010 10:11 AM PDT

Thanks, I figured it out. What I'd really like to do is use it as a regular drive, like a usb flash drive, drag and drop back and forth to the computer.

The most beautiful phone ever has one wildly annoying issue

The Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.
