How to make text fade, Please Help!

Ok, please don't laugh at me. I am making a slide show for my classes graduation and I am trying to make text fade in and out and I can't figure out how to do it. I have Adobe CS4 Master Suite. I know one of the programs in there can do it but I just got it so I'm still trying to figure out how to do almost everything with the programs. Any help on this would be great. I'm making the slide show like a video not a traditional slide show that you would make in power point or something.
