Question

How to make my network more secure?

Jul 6, 2015 8:53PM PDT

Hello!
I have a business network with more than 60 users for now. The network is wireless and using a Linux Ubuntu as a dhcp server. For now all the users can access the APs by SSID and Passkey of their closest AP. What do I want to do?
I want to everyone can access the APs as same as now, but after connecting to the Access point for accessing the web every single one of them should have an username and password of hisown to use the internet.
My question is: How I can do this? what do I need? Please if you have a reference, let me know. Or if you know yourself please tip me step by step.
Thank you!

For this

I forgot to write a step by step is very unlikely. It would have to be tailored to what you have now. Your best bet is to hire a consultant to not only implement it but write the step by step document so you can duplicate the system.

Sorry that I left that out of my first reply.

Dont want to hire

Thank you very much.
But the problem is that our system is non-for-profit and we are building this for charity works. I need to do it somehow without hiring someone or spending money. I know about networking basics and some advanced features but this thing I want to do is something I dont have any experience about it. So I need at least someone to help me to start from somewhere and go through it.

Then start asking for volunteers to create this.

Many Linux admins are in for a cause. What you want won't fit in this box and would have to be tailored to your setup. That is, without working at your site/location, no one can make this a step by step.

Answer
each user should have his own account

on the server and each account should have limits set such as in Groups. Each account can then be forced to give a name and password. You simply give each account the ability to access the internet. For each account look into the Advanced area for setting Privileges.

Unless you had each AP user set as isolated from each other, you'v e been allowing sharing hacks between users.
