how to make a raid disk

I want to set up a raid backup for my movie collection. Cant find software or directions on apple web site.

First, let's cover that RAID is not a backup system.

Apple's Disk Utility will enable you to build a RAID array as long as you have the necessary disks, usually external.

I have used the disk utility in the past to create a raid array. However, i cannot find the method in the new disk utility to create a raid array.
