how to locate model name

I have a Toshiba laptop

It needs a new battery however I'm not sure which to buy for it since I only know that it is a Satellite, but not the exact model of Satellite that it is. How can I tell which exact model I have?

It should be on the bottom of the laptop.

My laptop I'm using now is a Sager but on the bottom it has the model number from the ODM which is Clevo.

The battery itself should have a name and model # and may be used in several devices. A google of such information should get you a few hits and probably a better price than getting it from Toshiba.

I looked at my battery, it doesn't have my laptop name on it, nor is the model on the bottom of the laptop. Is there any other way I can find out. I.e., is the model number of the battery any indication?

No, the battery doesn't have the laptop model

It should have the batterymodel as well as voltage and current expressed in amp hours sometimes shown as "Ah". It's the battery model # or equalant you really want unless other options were available for that laptop.
