How to locate and delete files that end in '.url'

by robert137 / October 22, 2007 11:42 AM PDT

When running RegCure I noticed many old Kazaa files still in my system. I tried to locate them, but to no avail. I suspect there are hundreds of these files, each with a song title in them. They all start with 'C:\documents and settings\... and end with a '.url' file extension.
How do I access the files to delete them?
Much appreciate the help.

Did a *.url search

I did what you suggested, but not one file with Kazaa in it. After '*\favorites\...' all I get are the sites I want to retain. Any other suggestions? I'm so ticked off at the trouble Kazaa has caused me. It was/is the most invasive program I've ever experienced. It's in almost every nook and cranny of the computer.
Sorry to unload, but this has been a real headache.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
