And where is that Windows 8 Pro supposed to come:
- replace the Windows (XP, Vista, 7) that is the other boot?
- replace that Windows 8..1 basic?
- on a new partition or disc so you have a triple boot?

I think when you say Windows 8.1 basic

you mean the standard Windows 8. You can use Hyper V in windows 8.1 so you don't need to go to 8.0 Pro. Plus you could also use Oracle's Virtualbox. All you need to do is go to add new feature.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.)

Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.

Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.1 and then do one of the following:

If you need to purchase a product key, tap or click I want to buy a product key online.

Follow the steps to purchase and enter a product key.

If you already have a product key, tap or click I already have a product key.

Enter your product key and click Next.

Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.

If you were running Windows 8.1, your PC will restart automatically and Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center will be available for use.

If you were running Windows 8.1 Pro, your PC will restart automatically and Windows Media Cente

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
