Question

How to insert an image into a web forum post?

Jan 19, 2020 7:14PM PST

Hello. I would like to post an image directly into the text of a web forum post and have the image appear there without the users having to click a link or anything. The website does NOT have a way to attach images. Other people mentioned in passing that there is a way to do this online by simply going to a website where the codes are generated. I'm not talking about Photobucket or similar sites. It might be an HTML generator or something. Thanks for the tips.

I was thinking of Google Photos Embed Code.

Or maybe not

I didn't have any luck with Google Embed Images. I could generate links to the image but not the image itself. When I pasted the code in the website, it just generated a hyperlink and some other text that was NOT highlighted.

The way to do it on our forums is described in our FAQ https://www.cnet.com/forums/faq/ .
In other forums it could very well be different, or even impossible. Check their help or ask their customer service.
