How to improve the quality of pictures embeded in a document

Aug 4, 2005 11:55PM PDT

Hi.
Please help me,Word Masters.
The pictures in my paper are illegible after printed. How to improve the quality of pictures embeded in a document?
By the way, the pictures was exported from Matlab's figures into tif format and rescaled into 360dpi by Photoshop , then inserted into my documents. The Printing Resolution of my printer was 600 x 600 dpi.

I have checked the printer options. I didn't tick this option " draft". I did tick the options "background printing" and "refreshing links".
Any other tips?
