Question

how to i disable so only one device can control youtube app

Jan 30, 2015 7:34AM PST

i have a 58 inch samsung smart tv and my nephew has a 50 inch samsung smart tv. he keeps using his tablet or phones youtube app to connect to my tv and plays rap music. so while im playing a game or watching tv it automatically switches to the youtube app on my tv. i tell him not to click on my tv but he does it anyway. anyway i can disable him from connecting to my tv? everything else about this tv is good except for that.

Hello Wutsayhe,

I'm sorry to hear this! If you go within the youtube application, you should be able to go through the settings and you'll be able to see what phones/devices are paired to the television and you should be able to delete them out, or in a sense "unpair them".

Hope this helps!

don't wanna block him from watching on his tv

I don't want to block him from watching YouTube on his own tv, if it will block everything. hopefully he'll stop clicking my TV in the youtube app. hopefully samsung could find a way to fix it in an update? thanks for the tips though

This would be a feature or not in your router. I have yet to see Sam add such features but I think many would hope for it.
