Playing Video with F40
Sep 18, 2010 7:03PM PDT

Download and install ROCKBOX!!! It will play videos. I have 3 Gigabeats and it plays them. ONly problem is, on 1, Rockbox was acting up, so I re-installed it, then still acting up, then I re-formatted w/gigabeat software. Still acting up, so I re-formatted with Windows XP as NT file system. HUGES MISTAKE!!!! Don't do it.
Now I get a red and white screen w/ system error C00F6720 and NOTHING will recognize the device. Can't re=install gigabeat when computer won't recognize the drive. NOTHING...Called Toshiba, said I would have to send it to TOPS electronics to fix it. Searched for a year already with NO help on the internet. NOTHING will recognize it. XP, Vista, Windows 7. Ubuntu-8,9 or 10.
Have to shut it off with the small shut-off switch on the bottom because power button won't turn it off after ERROR screen.

Recover gigabeat f 40

Shut down the device and turn it on and pres and hold the "a" buton on the right side of the device while the player is starting. That should give you the ability to acces the file system on your HDD and than try to install rockbox again. Let me know if that worked for you
