What if no disc & just key to go back to Win.-7 Pro?
Sep 16, 2015 9:13AM PDT

my PC came with Win. 7 Pro.
I had the Win. 10 Pro upgrade & HATE IT......Win. 20 did NOT do a CLEAN install as stated, ate up my C:/drive with all their EXTRA junk they added that I didn't feel was necessary.
Deleted my Win. 7 Pro & said it could NOT be reversed once I hit the button.
IS THIS TRUE?
Even though I still have the product key sticker on the side of my Dell GX-620 for Win. 7 Pro.?
What potential compatibility problems am I facing if I try to return to Windows 7 Pro.? At least I'd be able to play my PC downloaded games again.

Just like before. Your PC, your backups come into play.

Microsoft and makers are not going to be nice about this. That is, if folk don't backup, don't create restore media you will continue to find folk exploding about troubles going back.

Maybe the basic PC design needs changing? You don't see folk restoring iPads from external drives for the OS.

Dell sells restore media if you forget to make them or backup.

One thing you'll want to look for is a folder called "Windows.old" in your C directory. This contains the necessary files from your old Windows install, and the rollback won't work without it.

That's how you do it assuming you're within 30 days of going to 10 and you haven't deleted Windows.Old.
`
Now I have a question for you. Why did you go to 10 in the first place? I see a number of posts like yours without any reason for having done this. I don't understand that, so could you please enlighten us?
