While you could remove the Microsoft Client, you also lose the ability to save ISP passwords and more. Try this method...
1. Delete the .PWL files in C:\Windows
2. In the Control Panel, Networks, set the logon to Windows.
3. Reboot
4. For the last time enter a name, but do not touch the cancel or password items. Click OK.

I am using windows millenium & a pentium 3 processor.Recently , I activated the log on - off facility from the start menu by specifying a password for logging on to windows. However , now I want to inactivate this so that everytime my pc boots, the log off -on window does not appear & I dont have to fill in the password or cancel the window ie. I want to return to the previous stage of pre activation of log - on -off window . Please guide me as I am unable to find help on this from the "help" menu also !!
thanking you,
