I'd watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G99lrsh73tk and can see we can disconnect the battery for the usual reset I noted in this forum's welcome.
I really like this video as it notes the power input board can be changed if you damage that part or power socket.
So try the generic reset noted at http://www.cnet.com/forums/post/30c241c5-dd8b-4d73-b08d-c6e15897fe5f/ and hope.
My laptop fell off my desk (again) and this time instead of it working when I plug it in, now when I plug it in it does NOTHING! If you want to know how the power condition was before, it used to be powered by only being plugged in. This was a usual drop off my desk which I am used to.
