How to get back hacked yahoo email account

by arsubhani7 / January 26, 2009 5:47 PM PST

I had my yahoo account which I made 10 years back.Somebody hacked it.I have many tel nos. and addresses in it.I don't remember the date of birth ,region or zip code which I used while creating it.I also did not give any alternate email address at that time.

I know my yahoo ID and the password which I used.

Is there some way to get it back. Please tell some appropriate solution.

thanks

There's a form on the log in page to recover your lost password. Use that, you'll need to enter the same information you used to create the account, plus the recovery question.

they do not remember any of the information they used years back to open the account so they would not be able to do any recovery with that information since they are not sure what it was.

With out this information it would be hard to even press Yahoo for access to the account really.

Same thing happened to me & Yahoo wanted the information I'd used to set up the account a decade and two houses earlier. I fortunately stumbled upon an old checkbook that had my long forgotten vitals, like address & phone number.
