Question

How To Get Android Tablet to Recognize SD Card

Apr 23, 2013 1:44PM PDT

I'm transfering files, music, data from an iPhone onto a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (International version) with Android ICS and am running out of internal memory on the tablet. I have a 32 GB Class 10 Samsung SDHC card in the Tab, but it won't recognize it or any other SD card. How can I fix this? My desktop computer is an iMac.

No.

As Google changed Android the loss of the move to SD card in the Application management has some folk upset.

There is no cure from Google or Samsung.

This issue needs to be put over in the CNET Samsung forum. You seem to be in the US so that's the right place to pitch this issue.

If no cards work then you need to get with Samsung to arrange for repair.

Can't Fix What Isn't Broken

The tablet doesn't need to be repaired. This is a Samsung OS design issue that's been true ever since Honeycomb which I'm to work around. Also, Samsung has no U.S. repair service for international tablets like the SGT 7.7, but thanks anyway. Happy

How is it not broken?
May 5, 2013 1:27PM PDT

I have put 32GB cards in over a dozen Honeycomb and later tablets so I'm unsure what you mean that it is not broken.

I would be guessing you are upset over the loss of the move the app to the card but that's well discussed and your issue looks like a totally different failure.
