How to fined vidio card mfg. name

by Bear Mac Coy / August 1, 2005 3:58 AM PDT

I can't find the Video Card Manufactorers name.I want to download the video cards 32-bit video adapter driver. The Display Properties shows 16(bit) Color and 640X480 Pixels. I can not change either one .The Default Monitor on Stadard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)
The Display Properties was working fine before I gave the computer a total system recovery. The computer is a Pavilion 9720 operating system is Windows ME . The Monitor is Hp f1703. I put the drives in for the f1703 but the probale remained. I have the application recovery disk. I have tried to correct the problem but have had no success.
Than You

Thank You Thank You Thank You Bob
I went to HP found the Nvidia products that would work . I went to Nvidia's home page and went to Windows ME. Drives and downloaded Windows ME 77.72_win9x_english Drive .
Download Accelerator" utilities should be disabled when downloading any drivers. And followed the Driver Installation Hints.

Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing the drivers. This prevents the driver from configuring itself properly.

Before installing new drivers make sure you uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers from the Windows Control Panel. Browse to the Start Menu > Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and search for "NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers" or "NVIDIA Display Drivers" and select remove.
Thank You
