Mar 3, 2015 8:14PM PST

Hi, Could anyone please shed a light on the following question I have. How can I find out, How many email addresses have been forwarded to my email address ? As I receive a lot of email from different employees that have left the company but I need to know How many was in numbers that been forwarded to my address. Is there any command that I can put in to Exchange shell and find out ?

I'm going with no.

However on my Outlook I can view the email headers and find the email routing information. HOWEVER this does not and will not show how many others received this email. Email today does not reveal that information.

How do you mean "forward an e-mail address to your address". Mails are forwarded, not addresses.

But just in case, you mean messages, that's easy to find out in your inbox (and/or deleted items). Just count the number of messages where the subject line starts with "Fw:"
It's not too difficult to write a procedure in Outlook to do it if you feel counting yourself is too much work.

How to Find out Numbers of Forwarded Email

Hi Kees, Thnx for your reply, I wanted to find out in my mail box, how many employees's email has been permanently forwarded as they have left the company. we have a procedure that who ever leave the company, their email address forward to my address so we do not miss any emails. I hope I am more clear this time. If i have to count then it wont be correct as lets say i want to find out for last 2 years , how many of them has been forwarded to my email address. Thanks in advance.

That makes more sense. Now ask the HR-manager how many people left the company the last 2 years and you have your answer.

Or check the number of 'service requests' or whatever it's called in your ticketing system with the subject category of 'Employee left the company, please redirect e-mail address' from the last 2 years.

if it comes forwarded to you, then you know. If it doesn't, then maybe forwarded elsewhere, or piling up in the mailbox.
