Question

How to find latest changes

Mar 24, 2016 7:35PM PDT

I recently bought a couple of downloads from Heavy Metal but I have no idea where they've been placed on my Mac. Safari downloads to the Desktop but they're not there.

Is there a method listing the most recent folder changes or creations?

Answer
Safari, by default, downloads to the Downloads folder

If you have changed the default behavior of Safari, you can set it back to the default of Downloads Folder, in Safari preferences.
While you are in there, on the same tab, REMOVE the checkmark from the box next to "Open Safe Files after downloading" These days there is no such thing as a "Safe" file.

If you know the names of the tracks you downloaded, use Spotlight to find them.

You will find Spotlight in the top right hand corner of the screen. Little magnifying glass.

I sort my Downloads folder by Date Added, this puts the last thing I downloaded at the top of the list.

I'll email the seller and ask for the file name(s).
