No matter where I looked I could not find support for that OS. I think you should try VMWare next.

Hi all,
Discussion is locked
thanks for searching Bob and you are correct, Windows Server is not support by Apple.
Are at Apple and Microsoft. I found ZERO discussions how to hack this into place.
HOWEVER I do see that VMWare does support this OS. It's noted at http://partnerweb.vmware.com/GOSIG/Windows_Server_2008.html
All I can do is offer to point you to the other exit and solution.
Bob
i believe installing Server on a virtual machine will encounter the same issue, no right click.
As to your belief that the issue exists in VMWare, word is that it's fine there.
I did the VMware install with server and as I suspected, it didn't work. no right click
My buddy that did this says it works. I can only guess why you continue to have issues. But why not use the usual USB 2 button mouse?
Bob
so the right-click function on your friend's single button macbook is working via VMware? Are you sure he's running a server edition of windows? Because, as I said before, right click will work on every consumer version of windows like XP, Vista, and 7.
But since the external is fine and Vmware has support you know what to do next.
That is, you paid your money for it and now use that support.
Bob
But I don't have VMware on my macbook air, I only have it on my work iMac which, again, right-click does not work on. I'm pretty sure VMware won't support it because they will tell me, Apple doesn't write drivers for it, thus we don't support it.
I found Vmware to fix things and give support but then again we pay them for the support.
I'm guessing you are not willing to pay for it to be fixed or just use the workaround of a mouse for now.
In other words, you should post as widely as you can and hope someone else has a fix. I can't tell what's different from my buddy's install. It just worked but then again he paid dearly for the Vmware license.
Bob
I definitely am not willing to pay for it personally but since I have VMware on my iMac, I have support. though I worry my attempt to contact them will be futile since it doesn't make sense for them to support the functionality of another company's product. I know this really isnt a fault of windows but boy do I really dislike windows now.
