How to eliminate dead keys?

Jan 1, 2008 11:44PM PST

Hello, I have Windows 2000 and I'm using US International keyboard layout. I would like to eliminate the dead keys so that I have no dead keys at all. How would it be possible?

Thanks

I'd post in the Windows 2000 forum but...

Any decent KEY REMAPPER program could help.

Thanks. I have never used key remappers. Would you recommend any particular program?

I tend to use the registry method.

You can find an easy solution using the Microsoft
Keyboard Layout Creator. It helps to remove the dead keys from the stock US International keyboard layout.
I would recommend you to switch over to Linux, for some
tasks you stuck with windows 2000.

At the time the method was to use the registry (ugg!)

The tool you noted is much better.
