Resolved Question

how to drag images onto memo stick

Oct 15, 2012 1:13AM PDT

Hello,
for the first time, I attempted to transfer photos to a memory stick, but didn't get far.
When I insert the stick, a window appears telling me that the Folder is empty.
I then clicked on 'my computer', chose the 'H' drive and there the message is "please insert a disk into the memo stick drive".
Well, it's in there - how else could my PC tell me that the folder is empty?
What should I be doing? Hope someone can help.

This sounds like the stick was infected by

Not long ago a spat of AUTORUN VIRUS caused Microsoft to disable autorun on memory sticks and more.

Your story tells me that your Vista may be out of date and that stick may have carried a virus. Here's 2 links about the pest and Grif with some software to scan the machine with.

Grif has a fine set of scans that we use around here at this link.

Hi, Bob
I am very late in answering this, but wanted to let you know what happened.
It is probably the dumbest thing you've ever heard.
This was my first time using a memory stick and there was nothing wrong with it;
however, there was something wrong with me Sad<div>I had no idea what I was doing and had not opened a picture folder from where
to drag images to the memory stick.
</div>When I finally figured out what was missing, everything worked like a charm.

No problem about this. My pager stopped working so I took it to the pager center. The fellow opened it up, flipped over the battery slid it closed and yelled out "Next."
