Re: download youtube video's

Since the Youtube TOS says it's not permitted, there is no legit way.
However, there are many programs that say they can do it nonetheless.

Dont' Google how to do this. Here's why.

A friend did and found their browser locked up with a SCAM WEBSITE with audio telling him their PC was infected and to call the 800 number. It was also telling him that closing the browser would damage the PC.

As such, if you want to download YouTube videos, you better not google it.

Require to download a few YouTube Dell D830 repair videos

Hello Mr Proffitt,

I have a Dell D830 Laptop (2007-8), backed up, and used primarily to study guitar. However, fantastic as it is, the screen has finally failed.

So, I would like to download a few very good YouTube D830 repair videos to my iPad mini (iOS 9.35) in order to help me 'step by step' replace the screen (new one ordered £30 Accupart) and while it's on the bench, the cooling fan (new one ordered). I have searched for a free Downloader, and although a number look good, most appear to have been removed(???) from Apple Store. I'm trying to use 'Video Vault' which claims to have a reputable history etc.
However, I cannot see how you crucially save to the iPad, and run offline.
Tried messaging VV support, but no response.

Can anyone on here help please???

Thank you.

What you need to know

Is that YouTube only allows download when the download button shows. Google works to break the downloaders and as folk want to download in spite of the agreement I find folk infecting their PCs and other gear with trojans just to download a video.

If you want a video, ask it's owner how to get a copy.

Thanks once again

Many thanks for your helpful advice.

Hop on over to

where you will find all sort of information about replacing the screen on a variety of laptops.

Question: If you succeed in downloading a video, where would you play it?
If the answer is the iPad mini, then why not just stream the video and pause it when you need to.

IPad is on a mobile SIM access

Yes, many thanks.

Perhaps I should have included that my iPad operates on a mobile SIM connection, 5GB/month. Which actually serves me well, especially as I use WiFi Cafe's while having my daily cappuccino etc. And as I'm sure you'll appreciate, streaming the YouTube Vid's would quickly deplete my monthly data.

Thanks though.

I'll keep badgering Vidoe Vault + the YouTube creators.

Hi. I usually write ss before URL address of that video which you would like to download from youtube.

Much appreciated.

I'll try that advice too.

Once again, many thanks to CNET for all the reliable help that it offers.

Thanks Sura

Many thanks.

Actually I resolved my dilemma by persevering with 'Video Vault' and figuring it out etc. Works well, and allowed me to run the Dell Laptop repair videos offline.

Thanks again.
