Jan 3, 2013 10:47PM PST

After loading xp with service pack 2 and upgrading to IE7, was unable to get windows update to work. Learned I had to install xp 3 but can't get it past IE security. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Ron

Problem downloading SP3
Jan 4, 2013 1:54AM PST

Thanks for your suggestions. Still having issues:
1. Ran into problem downloading Firefox though found a way past the 'blocked because it does not have a valid sign' issue.
2. Downloaded the SP3 file through Firefox but when opened got 'file is corrupt.'
3. Using the same work around to get Firefox installed, downloaded through IE but when opened got "...not a valid Win32 app.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Ron

That have other issues or "download accelerators".

The download went fine here so you'll want to try this on another PC. Have a friend get it for you.
