Microsoft never issued a vista 64bit recovery disc. They issued many discs but not one I encountered was a recovery disc. Recovery discs were issued by the computer makers or created when we got our PC.

It's a shame you decided to protect your private information so tightly and didn't reveal the make and model because on Dells you can get recovery discs by downloading. Many others you can order but your need for privacy will be respected here.

Here's an example Dell recovery disc answer:

Notice it includes links to full "digital river" discs for recovery.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
