How to download video from Elura 60 to my Dell laptop

Hi,
I bought an Elura 60, 2 years back from Circuit City and am now trying to download some of the videos from tape to my Dell laptop. Could you please let me know how can I do that and if I need any additional component for this. I could not get any help from the Circuit City technical support so thought will bring my problem to this forum if anyone could help me out.

If you have a traditional Windows

laptop, you will need a PC-MCIA FireWire 400 card and a 4-pin-camera-side to whatever-pin (4 or 6, depends on the card) computer-side FireWire cable. This presumes your laptop has an available card slot.

If you have an Apple Macintosh laptop, they have had built-in FireWire 400 ports (6-pin) for years.
