How to download pics?

by Flashg36 / October 14, 2009 3:21 AM PDT

I haven't yet learned how to download a full SDcard in my camera to a disc. Can I download to a CD or DVD and which ones. Want best quality of course! A DVD- or + or what?

Thx, Don G

The Easy Way:

Take the SD card to a Walgreen's Pharmacy or WalMart Store Camera Department

For a few dollars they will copy all your photo files on the SD card and put them on a CD.

Took your advice. Walgreesn 2.99 700 plus picks on 3 cd's.

Now have a fresh SDcard. Still wondering what CD to use. Walgreens downloads to a CD but no one knows what type: CD-R CD+R or DVD -R or + R? Non say "Photos".

The cd-r is the most widely used. Also, be sure to format the sd card before using it. Format is like defragging a computer. The manual will tell you how.

All normal CDs are CD-R

Only DVDs have DVD-R or DVD+R.
All computer DVD players/writers can handle DVD-R or DVD+R.
Some "set-top" DVD recorders can only use one or the other.
