There are actually two Cnet music sites...the first is the music pages at Cnet's download.com and the other is Cnet's MP3.com. If you mean download.com, select a genre from the left-hand side, followed by a sub-genre if you like, click the little tab on the right titled ''all artists,'' click on the name of an album, scroll down a little, and click on ''Free MP3'' under ''download.'' (It's next to ''sample'' and ''play.'')
If you mean MP3.com, select the genre you want from across the top, scroll down to see the selection (listed under the subtitle ''free music,'' if you want more click ''free music'' (it's in red text), click on the title you want, and see if there is an option to download. Note: The streams (listening online) are free, but expect to pay for the downloads, if available.

There's some terrific music on the cnet music download site- how can I download it to my computer! Keep it simple please, as I'm a real newbie. i'm using DSL, MSN , Windows XP 2. Thanks & a Happy New year to All - ESPECIALLY Cnet for their help in the past & invaluable information in general.
