Question

How to download movies on the 5" Polariod PMP 500

Oct 13, 2011 1:15PM PDT

My son who Down Syndrome has a 2 hr bus ride to school. Bought the player because it looked simple enough to use and would keep him occupied by looking at movies and hearing music. I am having trouble importing movies. I'm a newbie in using this so I am not very knowledgable in what methods to take to properly import them. I've tried importing directly and also using a micro sd card but have been unsuccessful. Any suggestions?

I did follow the instructions but it comes up that the format was not acceptable. I used a digital movie that was on a regular pc and tried to sync that. I also downloaded it on a micro sd gb card thinking that maybe the movie too big for the player 4gb but that would not sync either. I even tried to sync it from a Macbook pro but no luck there either.
Am I missing a step?

Then probably, as Coryphaeus already suggested, you'll have to convert it to the right format before putting it on that sd card. There are many video formats and codecs for sound, and not all are supported on all devices. Even on a PC it happens you have to use a particular program or download a particular coded.

Luckily, once you found out what it is now, and what it has to go to, there are many (free or paid) conversion programs. Try with a short piece (1 minute is enough) and only pay if you're sure it works.
