how to download

by tizadu / November 28, 2009 11:06 PM PST

This is a total beginners question. I've just downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player. I know I have to decompress it right? So it's sitting on my desktop & I'm not sure which of all the files/folders to unzip?
two yellow folders called RELEASE & DEBUG - both contain same files - two yellow (FlashPlayer.app/ Install FlashPlayer10 UB.dmg, which has a zip on it) & 3 red files/boxes (FlashPlayer/ Install FP10 ActiveX/ Install FP10 Plugin)

When I right click on one file called Flashplayer.exe I get a system msg saying 'unknown publisher could not be verified'

OK - that worked - thanks.
Now I can view videos online - except this one particular one which keeps giving me the message 'you either have an old version of adobe flash player or Javascript turned off' which I don't think I do. this is the site:

any suggestions?

Just double check to make sure that JavaScript is enable. It's in tools > internet options > advance > then a java section if you scroll down. Just make sure your box isn't not ticked.

Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer. All support Flash. Good chance that one of them will show that particular file. The start using that for all Flash-pages you want to look at.

Sometimes it helps to uninstall the old version of flash using the flash uninstaller: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
