How to do you get Microsoft Internet Explorer to be listed in the Add/Remove programs list in Win XP?

Dec 21, 2003 5:29AM PST

Brandon, I think you stated that you have it listed there and others have told me the same thing. Is this possible? I apologize for posting another XP question at this forum however, sometimes I need to repair my web browser. I cannot do this if it is not listed in add/remove progams unless follow the advice below from the XP forum listed below here: "If you want to repair/reinstall I.E.6 see these links http://support.microsoft.com/kbid=318378,
http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_reinstall_ie_and_oe_6.htm"
Is this the only way? Is there no way I can get Microsoft Internet Explorer to show up in the add remove programs list? Thanks in advance,
Kay

Tell you what. Go to the Microsoft update site and update to MSIE SP1. It should now show up in add remove.

I downloaded IE 6 SP1 and it still won't show up in Add/Remove Programs list.

Is there any way possible to get Microsoft Internet Explorer in my Add/Remove programs list to repair the web browser without going through the lenghty steps mentioned in my first post?
Thanks,
Kay
