How to disable

I am trying to install a new program on my windows M.E. and can't with my AVG virus running.Can I send AVG to the recycle bin,install the new program,the restore AVG?. Is there a better way to disable AVG?.

Thanks for the advise R.Proffitt but its just too complicated for olddad,I take it dumping AVG in recycle
and restoring it won't work.

Bob you still have not answered my question,can I disable AVG by dumping it in the recycle bin and then restoringit.

There are other FAQs just up one link so use those.

Most of the AVG versions have a control panel which has a disable.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
