For Android? The usual.

As the version of Android can move the Settings or title of the manage applications around I wonder if you want android at all? But let's plow ahead.

I use Settings, Manage Applications and remove them there.

For factory or cell phone carrier apps that have no removal I simply remove the shortcuts off the screen and ignore them.

Hope that clears that up.

That is not quite what I am looking for. Thanks anyway.
Doing that still allows the programs to run in the background chewing up battery power.

I checked and those apps are not running.

I rebooted and that Nascar app never ran.

You are going to have to be a lot more specific to go any deeper and of course there are task killers.
