How to DELETE or ERASE FIRMWARE on Dell Pocket DJ

Jul 30, 2009 2:40PM PDT

I have a Dell Pocket DJ that's driving me crazy since I updated the firmware to the latest "Play For Sure" version available in the DELL website, the Ver. 2.20

Now, everytime I connect it to the computer, the screen shows that the Pocket DJ is "DOCKED", which means that it cannot be turned off
and therefore the battery doesn't charge. I also tried with the AC charger, the Pocket DJ turns off, but it doesn't show anything on the screen, and after more than three hours, no charge in the battery.

By the way, the battery was replaced with a brand new one two days ago.

Before I did that stupid firmware upgrade everything was fine, the only reason why I upgraded it was because I wanted to be able to sync music using Windows Media Player 11. I tried to replace the firmware with one of the older version that lack "Play For Sure", but I can't do that either, when I try, the firmware update reports that the Pocket DJ is disconnected. When I connect it, it gets "DOCKED" and the firmware upgrade to the older version doesn't recognize it, it stills says "Pocket DJ Disconnected". I need to know how to get it back to the old firmware, please help me. Is there any way to remove/delete/erase the firmware?.
