When I bought a vacuum cleaner I read the tests from our local consumer organisation and selected one that was in the top 3.

Out home is mostly cleaned with a Roomba. It's a little work to change or move things that challenge the robots but it's really nice now.

Cordless or Corded
Dec 6, 2017 10:59PM PST

you know there are corded vacuum cleaners and cordless vacuum cleaners. The corded vacuum has stronger suction that you can fully clean your room quickly. The problem is it is not easy to carry. While the cordless vacuum is easy to carry and rechargeable, but the continuous working time is less than one hour. For a small house, I think the cordless vacuum cleaner is OK. I'm using a cordless vacuum cleaner and sometimes take it to use in my car. It is convenient. If you want to clean your upholstery, too, I think you should get a handheld vacuum cleaner. That will be easier for you to lift the cleaner to reach the furniture. There are also handheld vacuum cleaners that are corded.

What kind of vacuum are you looking for?
There are upright ones, canister, cordless, handheld, bagged/bagless, robots and probably something in between.
What exactly do you need so we can recommend the best one that fits your bill.

Vacuum cleaner for home
Dec 13, 2017 4:41AM PST

There are two categories of vacuum cleaner which are used at home. It’s better to know what your requirements are before you buy one. Further, looking at the cleaning needs in modern homes, it’s preferable if you buy both of them.

1. Floor Cleaners: These are upright vacuum cleaners. These are the ones which are generally used at home. They have strong suction force and are ideal for cleaning hard surfaces like floors, carpets, rugs, etc.

2. Handheld Vacuum Cleaners: These are compact vacuum cleaners which are ideal for cleaning soft surfaces like bed sheets, curtains, upholstery, sofa cushions, car covers etc.

So as you can see, both of these vacuum cleaners serve different purposes of cleaning. And since both of these are essential, it’s better that you have both of these vacuum cleaners for your home.

Hi somyasharma423! I suggest that you go for a Dyson. I bought one a couple of years ago and even if it’s a small chargeable one, I still find it amazingly effective. I clean my rugs, ceramic flooring and wooden floors with it; I am fully satisfied by its performance. Do check stores out for the model that will suit you best!
