Question

How to create virtual audio lines?

Apr 21, 2015 7:59PM PDT

Hello, i need a software solution to this problem - i need to be able to play sounds from my computer (video, audio player) to voice chat (Skype, Razer Comms) I don't want people in the call to hear all the sounds from my computer, just the ones i play on the audio player.
Thank you for reading and hopefully responding.

P.S. I apologize for any grammar mistakes, English is not my 1st language.

By default, these programs get their input from the microphone. If they don't have a setting to tell them otherwise and your audio card doesn't have the option to define something like virtual microphone linked to some other sound input, I think this is a rather hopeless request.

Not a feature of Windows.

Now it may be possible to do this inside a Virtual Machine but that is as far as I'll go here. It's pretty complicated.

Maybe another laptop (these run about 200 new now) or a tablet like the Amazon Fire would be best.
