How To Create a Link for Rage PC Game:

I got a PC game from Steam. It would not work. They said I would a to create a link called rage.exe.. How do I create a link? The game will not work with the regular Icon.. Thank You! P.S. I have windows 7 a Toshiba Qosmio Laptop X505 870.. Thank You! Paul

An icon on the desktop is a link. The text under the start button is a link also. The common word for 'link', by the way, is 'shortcut', but I assume they mean that.

So:
- what does that "regular item" point to (check its right-click properties)
- does it run if you browse to the executable (the .exe-file) in Computer or Windows Explorer and run it from there (by doubleclicking)
- what exactly does "not work" mean? Any error message?

Hi, I updated my NVIDIA driver now the game works.. Before when I clicked on the icon, I would get a box pop up saying: Rage Console: GL_ARB_elements_base_vertex not available... Thanks and Take Care! Paul
