How to create a download from my website

Jan 12, 2007 6:29AM PST

I am building a web site for a band and they want their users to download some MP3 how do I create a down loadable exe file ?

Is there software available to perform this I work in dreamweaver (old) even before MX 2004 can anyone explain or have advice?

Thanks in advance

I probably wouldn't put any MP3 in an executable, just because that's a huge security issue. If you just link to the MP3, and tell the user to "save as" that should work fine. You could put it in a ZIP file if you wanted to, that way the download prompt will show up.
